Spin Off Thread: 3 Year Old Classroom Size and Kid's Attention Span

Anonymous
I was reading through the thread with the size of the 3's preschool classrooms.

Wow... the ratio for some of the classes are really good! I have called some Montessori schools and their ratios seem much higher than 14 students to 2 teachers. If your school has a good ratio, can you share the name of the school? I think DS might be better off in a classroom that is a smaller size so hoping to switch him to a program where the teacher to student ratio is better. Given that montessori classes have higher ratio, do you find that it is distracting to your kid, particularly one that has a shorter attention span?

We didn't look much at Montessori because we were told it would not be a good fit for her language processing challenges.

She goes to Children of the Cross in Rockville and it is a great fit. Last year she was in the 3's class and it was 6 kids for the first half of the year and then up to 12 kids in the spring. I think it is currently under-enrolled with 5 kids (2 teachers) in the 3's class. The classrooms are sunny and spacious.
