Anyone see that Clubs are giving conditional offers to current players based on IF they get into a new league

ok 2nd hand (probably better than most information here), but I was told a club(s) is telling players "Even though you are on the A team now, you will not be guaranteed a spot on the A team next season if we make ECNL/ECRL/GA until you tryout. If we do not, you are still on the A team. Click here to accept". I do not know how I would respond it I were told that. How are you supposed to accept an offer like that?

Sounds like my old club in a way (which it is not, I am sure). If it's a smaller club and the club is hoping to get into ECNL-RL or GA2, the players most likely have nothing to worry about. At my old club, they sent a similar message that no Red Team Players were safe as they were moving into ECNL-RL for next year. But then when tryouts came, almost no new players showed up and there were no displacements because of them.

Yes, I will marry you. Unless someone better comes along before the wedding. But I really like you a lot.

yea, it is fine if they are going to wait on your decisions until they can tell you want team you are on, then it is fine. I have problems with signing a commitment when I do not know what I am committing to

Maybe it is a way to tell you that you are somewhat safe?

Do you follow this site? ECNL/ECRL/GA/Aspire/... are making announcements right now (and for the next 6-8 weeks is myu guess). Clubs do not know until the last minute since the leagues want to control when the info comes out

I would say "start going to tryouts". It seems that you might be borderline (but not sure why they gave you an A team sport if they do not make the new league) and they are hoping better players tryout. Find somewhere that thinks you are top notch

so the fact that the Loudoun webmaster created a new website landing page and published it last week and then pulled it down, you're saying they didn't know they were getting GA until it was announced today?

Yes. Your info while may be what you were told is dumb. Every club knows where they are playing next season. There is no one waiting for a response.
