+ 1. It was a best experiences thread that turned into the worst experiences bash session |
I am PP. To clarify, I don’t think there’s anything wrong with sharing this information and I find it interesting |
And yet, you just spent all that time to type that when you could have just skipped the entire thread. *shrug* |
| Flint Hill was far and away the worst. |
We had a good experience with Flint Hill for one middle school kid and one upper school kid. Which school did you apply to? |
| SSSAS hands down |
|
I second or third Flint Hill.
|
We loved the US admissions at SSSAS. No experience with the other two divisions, though. |
| A few years ago, we had a bad experience with Visi and Georgetown Prep. DD was accepted but process was just not pleasant. DS decided not to apply after his shadow day. Staff was rude and unhelpful. Also, during admissions events, both schools were quite cliquey and really only seek out to cater to people who they knew. |

A TT in NYC. Called my daughter the wrong name, had a name tag for her with the wrong name and wondered why she did not answer. I corrected but both aspects made it clear she wouldn’t get in.
Conversely, at another school, I cancelled because of snow and she was given another interview appointment. This was for K. |
*shrugs* because it's a fun distraction to talk about the less serious bad stuff? |
Same. We had an excellent experience at Flint Hill and ended up going there for Upper School 9th grade. |
