Schools in Reston/Herndon

Hi,

We are moving to the area and are looking in the Reston/Herndon area. We are not familiar with the school triangles so any advice would be great. In particular, we'd like to know the strong elementary schools and what elementary schools to avoid.

Buzz Aldrin in North Reston is great. No compaints.

There is a ton of information on the Fairfax County Public Schools website. you can see test scores, demographics, reported incidents of violence, etc.

They also have links to each school's home page, so you can call, or see what kind of extracurricular activities they have.

I forget the name, but I know one of the middle schools in Herndon is supposed to be really great.

I think there are also rankings on a website... I think,... www.greatschools.net?
