DOGE Quietly Deletes the 5 Biggest Spending Cuts It Celebrated Last Week:
The cuts, highlighted on an earlier version of the “wall of receipts” posted by Elon Musk’s team, contained mistakes that vastly inflated the amount of money saved.

Certainly not a surprise to anyone paying attention, but jeez, the hubris.

The last of the original top five disappeared from the site in the early hours of Tuesday, even as the group claimed in its latest update that its savings to date had increased to $65 billion. The website offered no explanation for why it removed some items or how it arrived at the higher total. Neither the U.S. DOGE Service nor the White House responded to questions Tuesday morning.

Yes. The news media is failing the people. There were some small headlines about how the savings didn’t add up but it should have been above the fold and top of all news websites that “DOGE LIES: no fraud found”

Similarly with the budget the House passed the headline on CNN is “Johnson and Trump pull off a stunning win” when the truth is “House GOP votes to add $2+ trillion to national debt”.

But this is the Republican plan to flood The ether was so much garbage news agencies really have to pick and choose what they can report on because even though everything's a big story, not everything can be a big story. Yes I believe the media is pathetic but what the heck do you want them to do? They can't pour every single resource. They have only reporting on Trump in his lies because that is literally 24 hours a day and at some point people just tune that crap out if they have not already. I agree that Independence and Democrats need to figure out how to counteract this constant hammering of lies and fake news, but unless you have a better answer to it, I think they're going to have to just keep picking and choosing what they report on

The news media is sane washing Trump (or in the case of Fox and the like outright repeating his lies) but the fault lies with our do nothing Congress which is doing jack to protect federal workers and preventing Trump and Musk from lining their pockets from the federal coffers.
