Can someone explain if Trump’s Gold Card is just a rebranded EB-5 because he likes to stick his name on everything?

He said this in the article and I’m not convinced about the tax paying part because wealthy business people pay good accountants to avoid paying taxes and they seem pretty good at it. “They'll be wealthy and they'll be successful and they'll be spending a lot of money and paying a lot of taxes and employing a lot of people. And we think it's going to be extremely successful and never been done before.”

EB-5 means someone is investing a lot of money. Now they will pay directly to the government. The usual corporate Republicans were willing to sell citizenship for $1000 in their 'bipartisan immigration reform' bills. Trump says five million.

Both my coworkers that immigrated here on work visas (took years though) supposed this idea which surprised me.

Do you really think wealthy immigrants from non sh*those countries are going to come here now?
I mean sure, they might come from Russia and possibly China, but I bet even the Chinese are a bit concerned about moving to the US right now.

Correct me if I'm wrong but aren't most terrorists pretty heavily funded or backed by a very wealthy person at the very least.... I'm assuming this gets rid of some red tape. So what is stabbing someone like Osama bin laden from buying some gold cards for his people
