driving distance long weekend with 75 yr old mother

My mom and I would like to take a ling weekend together this spring. We like beautiful scenery, cute walkable towns, history, light hiking (more like long walks- mom’s balance is slightly off), bonus points for near water. Any suggestions for us? We’ve already been to Williamsburg together. Thanks!

Lewes and Rehoboth, DE? Cape Henlopen State Park is lovely and there is boutiquey type shopping and restaurants in both.
