Feedback on Stevens Early Learning Center?

Finalizing lottery list for PK-3. If anyone could share experiences with Stevens, that would be great. How are the before and after-care programs? Thank you!

Our neighbors have had both of their DDs there (one there now) and they have been really happy with it. They don't do aftercare though.

We are at Stevens, and the after-school program (Flex) has been a disappointing experience. The staff is extremely impolite, and student engagement is minimal. During the last hour, the children are left with nothing to do, leading to excessive screen time. If your child is active, they may be overlooked, as there is little effort to engage or interact with them. The disciplinary techniques are also questionable—active children often find themselves in trouble rather than being supported. Recently, a young girl rolled down the stairs and was injured while under their supervision, raising serious concerns about safety and oversight.

My coworker's kid goes to Stevens, and she's always complaining about their afterschool program. She says the kids are sometimes left unsupervised, running around hallways or rolling down stairs, and the staff isn't always paying attention. Apparently, the administration usually just blames the kids instead of doing something about it.

Yo, people got straight-up wild expectations for after-school programs. Like, real talk—qualified, educated staff work as teachers in schools or daycare centers. But after-school staff? Man, you’re lucky if they even finished high school. Most of them lazy, unmotivated, just there to clock in and out.

My child is at Stevens and we absolutely LOVE it. Her pre-k3 teacher is AMAZING they are learning so much. I also love how we intertwine with other pre-k3 parents. My daughter absolutely loves school and her teacher. I would def recommend. If they went up to 5th grade, we would for sure be staying.
