| In many markets, player don’t pay anything to participate on a team. How will this be handled with the five new MLS Next clubs/teams? |
Maybe in other countries they don't pay anything. But at the MLS Next level, you have to pay unless you have financial need. Most clubs do offer reduced rates for players who qualify for free or reduced lunched in public school based on tax returns. And since TSJ is a profit company, most kids will pay and they may not have any reduced rates at all for low income players. |
| Are you saying that TSJ is getting MLS Next? Tier 2? |
| Which 5 🤨 |
Exactly. Can’t wait to hear this… |

MLS next Academy teams play for "free"
Mlsn competes against them but pays for the privilege [Philly union, dc united, red bulls] |
Someone's been drinking! Just tell me where and i'll meet you for Happy Hour! |
Playing MLS Next at any of the above clubs is NOT free. There are club fees, team fees and a lot of travel related costs/expenses families need to consider and will pay. It's expensive. And NO, the lower tier teams do NOT subsidize the first team, contrary to what many think. |
? I think people are aware of that….But MLSN brand alone will bring kids on. |
MLSNext, not MLSN. |
