Beach resort for family with all ages

Anonymous
We have my mother who is an adventurous 80 year old (who wants a nice hotel), my 18 year old who is up for anything but will be bored if it's only sitting on the beach and my 7 year old who is hyperactive and needs fun things to do all the time but won't want a kids club I'm sure.

We've done way too many cruises and trips to Disney World.

I looked into Baha Mar and Atlantis because of the water park and kid options. Both seem really expensive for what you get but I'm willing to pay a lot if it's really worth it.

Any other resorts for families? Prefer not to go to Florida. Mexico or Caribbean.

Half Moon in Jamaica is on the nicer side and has a decent amount of things to do on property. We also really liked the Park Hyatt in St. Kitts (although it's not the easiest to get to and requires 2 flights from DC).

I have found of the islands of the Bahamas I have visited, they are the most $$$ chain of islands in the Atlantic/Caribbean. If I had to pick off the two, Grand Hyatt Baha Mar. Atlantis is run down.

I’ll offer up Aruba, St John, and St Lucia for more adventure. Take mom to Anguilla on a girls trip at some point.

The Sanctuary at Kiawah. My kids 16-14 play golf, play tennis, pickleball, hit up the water slides at the night heron pool, bike all over the island, take surf lessons, etc. Tons to do or nothing at all.

I love Half Moon but not for a hyperactive 7 year old.
