NYC Private School Waitlist for HS

Do high school waitlists to schools such as HM, Riverdale, Trinity or Collegiate typically move? If so, right before the deadline?

Do high school waitlists typically move more because of specialized applications and board schools apps? Just curious what has happened in years past with schools like Riverdale and HM?

Boarding school decisions are out March 10 and the reply deadline is March 12, so I don’t think there should be movement for boarding schools, unless it’s for kids getting off waitlists.

Yes, it would be waitlists moving for private day schools once boarding school acceptances are out.

Does HM or Collegiate let you know where you are on the waitlist? Is it ok to call the admissions office or does that just annoy them?

I wouldn’t call if they explicitly said in the letter don’t call or they prefer email.
I think an email indicating/reiterating FC is enough. They already know who they want from waitlist. Patience is your friend.

Anyone know the reply deadline for Collegiate HS? Currently on waitlist but not sure when the deadline is for others to accept/reject.

On HM waitlist for HS and it says it is not ranked and will consider all applicants once their deadline has passed.

We have four waitlists to TT schools. When do the waitlists typically start moving if at all? Right before the deadline because BS acceptances go out on 3/10?
