Verizon wireless reliability lately - DC area

We live in the DMV. Over the past few weeks, there have been multiple instances where our Verizon internet went down for a few minutes. It's down for ~3 minutes and then comes back online. The previous days it happened were all bad weather days (snow or wind) but it happened again today when there is not much bad weather.
Is this happening to other Verizon customers in the DMV? Trying to figure out if it's just us and we need to order new hardware or a broader issue. Thanks for your insight! |

| I noticed the same recently. Intermittent outages occurring few minutes at a time. This almost never happened before. We’ve had Fios for over 16 years. We live in McLean. |

I have verizon wireless and I have been dropping calls in the last few weeks like it was 1994 ("Can you hear me now? Can you year me now??")
I thought it was possibly because my iphone just hit the 24-month mark of designed obsolescence. But I think it's equally possible it's verizon, which would be a really bizarre 20 year backslide to drop calls |

| Called Verizon wireless and they synced my new phone. Clearly you need this done, so over the last 3 years I never had 4 or 5 G on my retired device. Tested T mobile pass and got way better coverage in Rockville than Verizon. The network is nothing special. |

Verizon doesn’t have much to do with WiFi problems, unless you’re using their router. If you are, it’s possible the router has a problem, but it’s more likely environmental. Maybe another piece of equipment in the house interfering, or at a neighbor’s place. Try switching to 5GHz WiFi if you’re not already using it. |

| Our verizon FIOS in DC has had periods where it's very slow the past few months. Enough that we're considering comcast. |
