Gig jobs / side hustles

Anonymous
I have $5K of debt I am aggressively trying to pay off. I don't have kids and have a pretty flexible schedule, so I'm looking for some gig jobs / side hustles. Below are a few thoughts I had so far, but please weigh in if you have any other ideas...

- Dog walking / cat sitting (could do the latter in my home)
- Running errands on task rabbit
- Personal assistant services (I wish I could market this...I am really good at doing research for events, etc., for example, if someone needed to find various vendor options for parties...)
- "Event" type gigs (passing out tickets or swag, assisting with setup/clean up...where would I find these jobs?)

TIA!

For the "event" type jobs, what you're looking for is catering. Plenty of part time gigs evenings and weekends.

Also concert venues like jiffy lube live once the weather warms up.

Do you know what websites would have such jobs? I checked craigslist but majority look scammy...I also see some apps that could be promising.

Do you have experience with kids? We pay our college aged babysitters $25-30 and a lot of the time the kids are asleep and we order them a pizza.

Plus with RTO a lot of parents will be looking for some stopgap help to cover the commute time.

I babysat in high school (and am in general a responsible adult: work for a bank, degree from a good school...not that either really matters to babysit, I guess). I like kids and don't mind spending time with them, and as an added bonus, I have a ton of experience with pets if the house has animals. Not sure if that would be sufficient, but worth a try! Thanks for the suggestion.

How does this work. I might give it a try. Just googled but looking for anyone who has actually done it and their experience.

Google events and catering companies. I worked mainly in restaurants but would do large parties through a said company based in MD (this is over fifteen years ago). It’s like a staffing agency for hospitality staff.

I assume it is a typo, but what did you mean by a “said company”?

I sell AI art (which is a loose term lol) on Etsy. Bit of a learning curve but if you take the time to learn, it’s an easy side hustle that’s low maintenance.

I sell stock photos and videos. Takes a while to get to where I’m at (making $1000-2000 a month) but it can be done with effort and you don’t need to be a pro. I’m certainly not lol, and I do just fine.

All of this is passive income which is nice.

Where do you sell stock photos? What is your subject matter?
