Probably caused by lupus itself rather than her medication. Google lupus impact on vocal chords …
I found it grating at first but it goes well with her dry personality for the show. |

| I remember her in her wizard show and her voice was normal. She definitely is struggling to enunciate or open her mouth all the way. I heard a long interview with on NPR and was just as monotone as she is on the show. |
