Recommendations for French language camps in France for HS students

DD is 15, she's in French IV at school but teacher is non-native Speaker and DD is not really learning a lot. She's interested in going to France to learn French this summer and prepare for AP French next year. We are looking for a 2-3 week summer camp. TIA!

When I was a teenager I went to the Alliance Francaise in Nice for several weeks in the summer. It’s not a camp, it’s an intensive course and you can take as many weeks as you like and stay in their student accommodation. Would that work? AF is in many other cities too, of course

Not in France, but if she wants a French immersion experience, have you considered Concordia Language Camp? Their French camp is called Lac du Bois, and my kids went and loved it! True immersion, plus a camp experience. Most of the staff are native speakers.

I am French! Don’t go to Alliance Française, please, it’s not the best option.

You have the American School of Paris in Saint-Cloud (just outside of Paris). I believe they offer French immersion classes during the summer. Take a look

The best thing you can do for your daughter is to enroll her in a fully French summer camp from July to August, with no English speaker students at all, either in the north of France (like Normandy or Brittany) or in the south.

Full immersion will be much more effective. She can also work through a book at her target level, like “The Complete French Grammar”, after spending her days practicing at camp.

CIEE, great immersion programs in different cities in France, but it isn't cheap.

I forgot to add. Check into these American Au Pair program for France. They usually propose summer immersion for French Second Language students.

I live in Paris.

They have summer programs for HS students at the American University of Paris and Sciences Po (that one I think includes a homestay).
