Two month vaccines

Anonymous
Exactly two month old is EXTREMELY tired after her vaccines from the AM. Don’t remember this with my other two. She has barely been awake. Is this normal?

Read the vaccine insert.

Check with your doctor if you’re concerned but my second baby slept alllllll day afterwards. It just made my first baby super fussy.

My first always slept SOOOO well and so long after vaccines. It was AWESOME.

Second, nope.

Have you seen vaxxed?

I saw a doctor speak about spacing out the vaccines so it's not multiple on the exact same day. Something I had not thought of. Along the way, I didn't realize my DD had 30 vaccines either (including 2 flu). Thats 30 without even getting the HPV or Covid ones. I guess if she had flu every year, plus 2 covid, plus 3 HPV, it would be around 40 total at age 13.

If my baby was lethargic, I'd take to urgent care or hospital to get checked.

Yes very normal.

I’ve always done this. I don’t understand why anyone would have a baby get 3 or 4 vaccines the same day. Literally anyone getting that many shots will a) hurt and b) feel out of sorts. And these are *babies*. Plus if they have a reaction you actually know what it’s a reaction *to*.

Because it seems more humane and less stressful for the baby to have one bad day of pain vs 4 bad days with pain. They will hurt after even one shot. The marginal hurt for additional shots seems minor compared to the emotional trauma of any shots. This seems obvious to most parents and healthcare providers. It’s not a conspiracy to hurt babies.

Tell me your child looks like a pin cushion after leaving the doctor without telling me. I feel sorry for your kid.

Hi I am OP and deeply regret posting this to trollville of anti vax garbage.

My baby is fine by the way so yes it’s normal

Very normal.

That rotavirus vaccine can cause some loose poops too so watch out for that and make sure you hand wash well. That one is a great one though, prevents over 90% of hospitalizations for diarrhea.
