| I read that if kids only received one dose of the H1N1 vaccine last year, they have to get two doses of the all-in-one flu shot this year. This makes me uncomfortable...my kids (who only got one dose of H1N1 vaccine last year) have been getting the seasonal flu shot for years and I don't want to have to give them two doses this fall. My DD already has to get a zillion vaccines for her four year check-up. I guess I'm just wondering if H1N1 is even still around because I'm contemplating just getting my kids one dose of the flu shot. |
| I read a report in one of the papers that H1N1 is around in New Zealand at the moment, but I can't remember any more details. |

It will probably come back again. But here is what I saw on flu.gov, and it sounds like one shot if you have had the seasonal influenza vaccine before.
I am guessing that perhaps some children have had only H1N1 vaccination and some did not complete the two doses and therefore they are considered to be incorrectly immunized. But in your children's case they have already had multiple correct seasonal influenza doses. So based on how I read the page below, they only need one shot. http://flu.gov/individualfamily/vaccination/index.html |
