A Plea for Kindness...

Anonymous
This time of year is always filled with stressed out parents reacting/overreacting to every perceive slight or misplaced word on DCUM. I fear the uncertainty brought to many households from the current administration will compound what is already a time filled with DCUM hostility. Please choose kindness. Stress abounds. Don't assume a question or word or phrase is an attack on your school. or your tribe. If you have nothing nice to say or are just chiming in to tell someone else their question is "dumb", "uneducated" Ignorant" or otherwise a waste of your time, take a breath and just move on.

Yes. There is also good info here, in between the weird vitriol. I came here when I really needed help, and now stay out of habit (kids will not be doing school lottery/moves again).

Thank you so much for this message. That was my impression— I do not participate in this forum and I came in seeking information about schools as my child is in the process of applying for high school. I was shocked by the level of communication.
Thank you for the plea for kindness..
