What happens if you move to a Spanish immersion in bound

And your kid doesn't know Spanish? Like say you move in the middle of elementary and it's just too late to catch up with their peers who have been in immersion since prek/k? Are there options for these kids in their in-bound or do they just have to lottery elsewhere?

So if I move to Oyster Adams in bound too late in the game for example... it's all lost and pointless? I essentially need to do it by pre-k/1st? What would the alt in bound for Oyster Adams be anyway, and would I still get Jackson Reed feeder?

For Oyster, they send you to John Francis for elementary and middle.

We moved to the neighborhood when my kid was in 5th. Unless they've changed it, any kid beyond 1st must pass a Spanish language proficiency test. If they cannot do that, the default 'in bound' school would be John Francis.

If you are inbound for Oyster-Adams you are in bound for Jackson Reed

Yeah, they will strongly encourage you to go to Francis. I don't know what happens if you push and insist your kid go to OA. Either way, as long as you still live in bounds for OA when your kid starts 9th grade, they have a right to Jackson Reed.
