Stayed in SoHo in late January and loved the Charlotte street hotel. Recommend the Firmdale hotels. Would stay again!

Verify room size. Our travel agent booked us hotel rooms in London and Amsterdam this summer and they were horrifically small. Couldn’t put suitcase on the floor small.

City hotels tend to have smaller rooms.

Residence Inn London Kensington is our go to with similar age kids. We can afford nicer hotels, but this one has a kitchenette and more space. They have two bedroom apartments that are nice with a kitchen/living room with a pull out couch. It is a few blocks from the earls court tube and next to a grocery so you can save on food costs. You can take the tube to/from LHR direct from the earls court station which is cheaper and easier than any other option IMO.

My kids each get their own beds so the Lancaster.
You need to verify twinned rooms wherever you end up.
