Hi, fellow soccer moms (and dads?)! My son has wide feet. We've been buying him leather (so the stretch even more) wide-width New Balance cleats (442 Pro), but would like to try a new brand/model. Any suggestions? He definitely needs a wide width, not just a model that's a little wider than others, but I know they are hard to find. Any suggestions for a specific brand/model?

| Puma has wider cleats. My daughter had Nike Mercurial Superfly's and loved them for everything but they were not wide and hurt her feet. It took a little convincing to get her to switch to Puma's Future 7s because everyone had the Mercurial but it took her one practice to love them - super comfortable and more room. Over half her team switched now. |
I’ve heard phantom Luna is wider. I would suggest you go to a soccer store and try on multiple shoes. Even the exact same shoe can fit differently. |
| Thanks, yes, we'd plan to, but don't want to waste a trip without having anything in mind to look for. Most stores don't even carry wide width soccer footwear, even if they carry New Balance. |
| I know you specified not just wider than usual, but my kid who has a hard time finding any shoes that work width-wise has repeatedly had good luck with Nike Tiempos. |
Adidas Copa Pure Elite |
| +1 Adidas |
| Nike phantom gx'2 |
| Try Adidas Copa Gloro. Wide but little heavier then 442s. My son has wide feet also. He says nothing feels like the 442s though. |
| Adidas run wider in general |

Nike only makes shoes (of any type) for narrow feet. I used to work at a track & field store in college.
Adidas and Puma have wider feet cleats. |
That's not really true these days for Nike. |
