Why would my ovulation be late?

Anonymous
I had a D&C in June and just had my first ovulatory cycle beginning August 6th. I started a new cycle August 30 and my typical ovulation is between days 13 and 15. It's Day 15 now, and I have had only VERY negative OPKs, so doesn't look like I'm ovulating today either. (I also chart to confirm ovulation).

Why would it be delayed? Anything at all I can do to get this egg to come?

You should be having sex every other day just in case the opk isn't picking up ovulation. Sometimes the opk can miss the window.

After my MC my OV date was all over the place. One month it was on day 18. I didn't get pregnant on those cycles - only the one where I OV on day 14.

My ovulation cycle were also all over the place (which makes it more difficult to conceive). They ranged from day 11 to day 23. I started seeing an acupuncturist and was able to get pregnant after 2 months of seeing her. FYI, I think I ovulated around day 20 when I finally conceived.

The best time to take an ovulation test is usually mid-afternoon (2pm-5pm) when your LH surge is the highest. Although I have seen 1 or 2 that say the morning is best. Pregnancy test almost always should be taken in the morning.

Best of luck.

After a miscarriage/D&C my cycles were always a little crazy. It is normal for your body to take some time to right itself.
