Day trips from Mexico City with kids

I’ll be in Mexico City with my 5 year old for 9 days over Easter. I am thinking about a day trip and would love ideas. I’ve already been to the pyramids and I think she’s a little young for that. Maybe Cuernavaca by bus? TIA!

i’m not a fan of cuernavaca. i’d go to Tepoztlán. it’s pretty magical. for an overnight, go a little further to Puebla…also magical and one of my favorite places in Mexico.
