Flying in same day as a tour?

If you had a college tour at 1pm, would you fly out that morning? Or is that too risky and you would the night before?
Can't tell if I am being paranoid. Adding a night and flight change is a bit pricey.

I would not do it, flight delays and cancellations are too common.

You're fine and being paranoid. It's the late afternoon flights that get cx, not the first ones in the morning.

We did that with Wesleyan, MI, WI, Boston area colleges (we visited 6 over 3 days) and Vandy, md didn't have any flight issues.

We flew in same day for emory, tulane, wake forest. We were fine. Hotels are expensive.

We also flew in the morning and had an afternoon tour, but we took a flight that, if on time, would get us there a few hours early. That way, a 1 or 2 hour delay would not make us miss the presentation or tour.

We did the same - no problems.

Not from DMV. We flew in on an early morning direct flight to Reagan for an 11:00 American U tour.

Yes, we flew the morning of our tour for Georgia, Vanderbilt and Wisconsin.

We flew in morning of unc tour . Area is very manageable.

We did that for admitted students' day at NU. Flew to Chicago early in the morning. Arrived at 9am, Uber to Evanston took 25min. Dropped luggage off and still plenty of time before official events. Used 2nd day to speak with departments, students and FA w/ specific Qs.
