We usually take a nice international trip in the summer, but I’m wondering about the economy’s stability. We’re not feds or contractors but realize the recent changes to the government can
certainly impact the local economy. So what are you doing? Continuing to travel or delaying? |
Travel within the US instead to boost our economy. A lot of Appalachian cities in North Carolina were really hurt by the flooding last fall and could use your tourism. |
The dollar will be strong this year....maybe not after that.
I would definitely take advantage of that if Europe is in the cards. |
We are avoiding national parks but otherwise traveling normally. So far. |
Traveling internationally on foreign airlines. Travelling in Economy class though.
Have zero desire to boost the economy of Musk's America. |
As always, spend what you can afford, and don't spend what you cannot afford. Very simple. If you need more savings and investments, and/or a larger emergency fund, spend less and save more. If you have enough resources to get you through potential market and political turmoil, spend however you like. |
Waiting to see what happens in a month or two. |
Wait, the economy is tanking in 3 -2 -1.... |
For this summer, you should have bought tickets last October if your goal was to save money. |
Nope. Will find a nice place that didn't vote the person causing all the distress right now. |
We definitely would if we could afford it. We’re putting all travel on hold while waiting for the rif. |
Everyone in NC voted for Musk? Nobody in CA did? |
Definitely not a good economy to plan discretionary travel. And something is up with air safety under trump’s leadership. There has been something like five airplane crashes since he took office. |
dp.. we are all collectively suffering, unfortunately. |
