Pick up soccer in nova

Does anyone know of any pick-up soccer games for girls U10-12 in Northern Virginia? I think it would be nice to play with other girls from different clubs in our area.

You won't find pickup games with just U10-12 girls. It will be boys and a wider age range.

Your best bet would be to organize something informal and invite your daughter's team: Hey, we're going to be at XYZ field at 10am every Saturday for anyone who can join us. Tell them to bring their siblings and friends. If you make a regular thing it might catch on over time.

Hardly. Groveton ES has pickup, but it’s mostly older Hispanic men. My DD has played w the other kids, but it’s only a few younger boys.

There are some trailer parks down Rt 1 by Costco where kids play, but we’ve never been.

Most pick up seems to be non existent outside of schools due to iPads, cell phones and video games. I swear we lost about 12 kids in our neighborhood to screens that used to play outside.

Don’t blame the phones and video games. I know of pickup games and see kids there all the time. But they are playing basketball. Soccer is not popular enough here for pickup games.

I have looked for this too but its hard to find guaranteed field space unless you want to play on a crappy grass (dirt) field that has been neglected by the county.
