| There are many exposure events for players to get exposure to college coaches. This weekend, Maryland United and VDA held their own exposure events. In some cases there were many top level coaches from D1 schools watching these games. When is exposure good and when is it bad? If your team is the top team and you get exposure it’s obviously good. What happens if your team is not good and you get blown out in front of high level D1 coaches? When is this good and when is it bad? Is it good for a good player to be on a team that gets embarrassed? |
| College coaches watch players not teams. They don’t care about the score. They come to watch the players who have already been in contact with them before the event. They have their list of players to watch before they get there. |
This is true. And sometimes, they will see a player they are not previously be aware of and develop an interest in that player as well. |
Occasionally. But coaches would much rather put their limited time and resources into players who have already indicated interest and is an academic fit for their school. Especially the mid and lower tier D1's who know the best players on the field are not attainable so why waste their time cold contacting a player who will be talking with P4's. Players, let them know you are interested! |

VDA / Bp loves to invite coaches to practices. Was the same at FCV. Nothing came of any of it. Just instagram content.
|
Not nothing, then. Instagram content was the point. Helping the club recruit players is the point. |
My point - it didn't help the kids get offers for scholarships. Maybe helped the club but hard to tell. There are so many players in the area and not enough top level teams for them all. It's supply and demand. With or without insta - the kids will come. It's not as useful as you think. You'll see. |
My point - it helps the club NOT the kids |
Not true. My kid was recruited from one of the colleges that came to practice. |
BP for VDA is good for the club and I think they saw that benefit, if it's good for the players is another thing. Don't let the 'Family' schtick fool you, you're in with him if he can gain something from having that relationship with XY or Z player, if he cannot benefit from it or needs to actually coach up a player, best of luck. |
| Bp is a master. Lots of haters because he’s the real deal. VDA will be walking at halftime of the spirit real soon. |
You do realise any group of 25, or more kids can purchase this match day experience, yeah? |
Walking halftime? They'll be running scrimmages against them soon. |
Ha ha. You may be right. |
