| Looking for teams to tryout for this spring for next year. Which teams would be best for a lower level travel player? 2015 girl. Don't want to commute far and definitely want to get an offer. Near mclean. Which are most commutable and most likely to accept lower level kid? New to travel. |
| McLean, duh. |
I know mclean is right here but do they cut? Looking at all options so we are prepared this spring. |

Arlington is good also, they offer a wide range of player experiences.
I also like GFR for that age group. They have good in-house balls skills clinics and lots of coaching education. |
Of course they cut. All clubs cut in this area. Arlington has more teams per age at your kids age - 6 Arlington teams vs 3 McLean (on average). |
| There’s no guarantee in any club. |
| I would tryout at all the closest clubs if not making any team is a possibility. Depending on where you live, some clubs might be closer than others but I would check out McLean, Arlington, Vienna and GFR. |
| Vienna girls won’t cut (they are very accepting) and if you live in McLean that is a viable option. |

You might also want to look into the Arlington development program, which is a program in between rec and travel that aims at developing kids were not quite ready for travel. The majority of the kids do end up playing travel after the ADP program.
