Breakfast: eggs
Lunch: leftover chicken breast Dinner: won ton soup with shredded chicken Feels kind of weird to look at the day and realize it's EVERY meal. Opinions? |
| I wouldn’t do chicken for lunch AND dinner. That’s repetitive and dull. |

When I was 17 my dad and I had been at one grandparents' home and were going back home (about a 300 mile drive) by way of my other grandparents' home. We got there in time for dinner (noon, as they had been farmers). Had fried chicken, potatoes, gravy, etc. Half way home we visited my mom's cousin and stayed for supper. Same meal. I was started to have a sore throat and headache. My dad and the cousins talked until late and I thought we might stay over but we left around 11 pm. Another hour and a half and my dad decided he was hungry and needed coffee so we stopped at a truck stop. Chicken again. By the time we got home around 2 am I had full on strep throat. The two things--repeated chicken and strep--are forever linked in my mind.

If you gotta use it up, though. . . |
| I think it's fine for one day. Now 365 days a year would be crazy. |
| Eating eggs isn’t eating chicken. It’s an entirely different protein. |
| Eggs are not chicken...sigh. Educate yourself, OP. |
| That would constipate me. I don’t count eggs as chicken though. |
| Too much animal product |
| I have eggs for breakfast every single day. Chicken sandwiches or a salad with chicken is probably 5 days a week. A chicken pasta dish for dinner is very common. So I probably have chicken for lunch and dinner on the same day probably 4 days a week. I never really thought about it before. Chicken is just my staple protein. So versatile. There are so many chicken dishes. |
+1 |
| I mean, I wouldn't do it every day, but for one day, whatever. |
No. It’s not too much animal product. It’s actually a very good amount of it. I would just be a little bored with the same thing all the time. Unless you are making really different versions of the chicken. It’s definitely a versatile protein! |

Eggs aren't chicken
While I wouldn't choose this every day, it happens sometimes that I have the same protein for lunch and dinner- usually chicken or sometimes beef- this is absolutely no big deal. You should be aiming for diversity in your diet through the week, not for one day. Hopefully you realize this. |

We eat 2 eggs a week in matzoh balls.
We eat chicken 3 or 4 times a week for dinner. Fish twice. DH has roast turkey breast from WF for lunch every day. We don't mind boring. |
