Missed deadline for magnet school acceptance

What happens if you miss the deadline for Takoma Park or Eastern Middle acceptance? Will they give an extension?

I am dated but I seem to recall they checked in with non responders. This is when letters came in the mail though!

If the lack of response was due to a big family emergency, I would call. If it was just an oops. I would not call.

Couldn't hurt to call. No one here is likely to have an answer, since it's uncommon to miss the email.

Have they done the second round of lottery or is it from 1st one since they send the letters in the mail not email.

Why would they bother? It’s a lottery so they are just as likely to get a great kid off the waitlist? And if they change the rules for one family, they’ll need to change it for all.

OMG, I responded literally 1 second after getting the email. I was looking for and waiting for that email. I think most parents in this area are similar.

Because the waitlist is not numbered -- it's another lottery that is run. It doesn't happen right away.
