Lots. There is a zoo, a wonderfall waterfront park overlooking the falls at the Reedy River, a cool downtown area with lots of fun stores, and a lot of fun kid-friendly sculptures out on the street. There is a minor league ice hockey team, and there may be other events at the Bi-Lo Center. There is also a performing arts center - I think called the Peace Center - that has kid-friendly events. There is some really nice mountain hiking/state parks not too far away. There is a website - I think it's www.greenville.com, but if that's not right just Google Greenville News and it will pull it up.
My in-laws live there, my DH grew up there, and I lived there for two years many moons ago. I love Greenville, but we moved to DC for my career. If you were going in Spring, I would tell you to drive up to the residential part of Main Street (North Main) because you could see all the magnolia trees in bloom. They are planted in the divider island between the northbound and southbound lanes, and the effect is kind of like the cherry blossom season around here. That used to be my neighborhood - sigh. I think I'll plant a cherry tree in my yard this year.
