Spring Tryout Schedules?

I heard some clubs are starting tryouts this spring as early as mid-late April. Is this true? Seems really early considering spring season starts in March.

Tryouts are always during that timeframe.

The good ones and with experience on how the 'system' works shouldn't lock in too early.
