| DC just turn 21 years old. She is planning to go to phd program in the Fall. Her acceptance letter has health care included. The FAFSA considered her as independent. Can she still be under my employer health plan till 26? |
| Yes. My kids are still on our plan and will be until they get their own jobs. One is going to grad school in the fall so job will be a while. One has a school health plan because we missed the deadline to opt out but is still on our plan as well. |

Yes.
The age requirement (up until age 26) applies to any child of yours. They can even have their own job with benefits. |
| I’m going to keep my 22 yr old dd on my employer-sponsored family plan until 26 whether she has her own insurance or not. The cost to me is the same whether there are three or four of us on the policy and the coverage is decent. |

She can. We switched though, because then the school was paying instead of me.
If you have a family plan that costs the same with or without her, you may have more provider options on your plan. (But remember, her providers will eventually be there, not by you) |
| Yes until 26. If it’s just two of you, put her on the school plan and get yourself a self plan. Cheaper that way |
| Can I remove DD from my plan in Aug when the grad school paying for it? Is this consider life changing event? Are you allow to have 2 plans running till the end of the year? Is her own plan consider as primary and my plan consider secondary? |
