Thoughts on the Cartier trinity ring

Looking at push presents and I keep coming back to the Cartier trinity ring. What do you think?

I love the history behind it and mixing metals, but don’t know if it’s too basic.

It's your jewelry. Wear what you like.

Too basic for what?

I have a similar Tiffany ring. Mine is plain silver, but it’s also three intertwined rings. I really like how it looks, but it’s heavier on my hand than I expected. If you’re able to, go try it on, and make sure it’s comfortable on your hand.

Definitely go try them on. What size are you looking at? I tried on a few sizes and found that I hated how “fat” they felt between my fingers. The only one mildly comfortable was the xs. I like wearing it, and if you are a fiddler it’s nice. I still find it somewhat uncomfortable between my fingers and usually reach for thinner rings to stack instead. I have “tapered” fingers rather than thin fingers w/ bigger knuckles so ymmv depending on finger shape too!

The notion of a “push present” is extremely basic, so I think it would be just fine, OP.

I cringe every time I hear the phrase push present, OP. It's disgusting.
Also that piece of jewelry has been on the list of overplayed items for multiple decades.

Stop doing push presents - not a thing

a cliche

I like it but think its old news if you can afford it. Also agree that I would completely have problems with it being too wide for my fingers. Most of Cartier's jewelry seems overdone. I like the fancy diamond Panthere jewelry, the bag with the Panthere C clasp on and the watches.

I like the Tiffany hardware ring or something similar better.

It's a beautiful and classic ring - perfect for the birth of a child imo. The three rings symbolize love, friendship, and fidelity. It's also a very comfortable ring, especially compared to other Cartier rings like the Love or the Juste un Clou.

It's not basic at all. I see the Love ring way more often than the Trinity these days.

Not my preference but it’s certainly a classic. Go for it before those tariffs hit!!

I have my grandmother's and wear it pretty often. I don't really think about it---it just goes with everything and is fun to fidget with.
