Is NOAA next?
https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025/feb/04/doge-noaa-headquarters Hope you bought a weather vane. |
| P2025 was explicit about killing NOAA |
Why? Serious question. |
So they can deny climate change. |
And they don’t like being told to evacuate. They don’t like being told what to do at all. Like toddlers. |
Yup. I bet insurance companies won't like it. They like knowing the weather risks to be able to deny policies. |
The insurance companies have largely pulled out of hurricane-prone areas. Get rid of NOAA and FEMA then all disaster recovery is left to governors. |
So it can be privatized, and Elon can gain control over their satellites. |
When you control the info on weather, you control people. Just think about it. You might decide to drive four hours, but you won't know if there will be ice storm. You might die. MAGA don't care. This will then scare other people into staying close to home, not speaking out, etc. |
But they DO like being told what to do by other authoritative men. Don't get an abortion! Have more babies! Don't get an abortion even if you or your wife might die! MAGA is all about telling people what to do. |
NOAA has nothing to do with FEMA, it also manages satellites, it's probably the least political agency among the ones mentioned. My weather app uses NOAA technology. Half the country probably doesn't even know it exists. Climate change propaganda isn't coming from them but from elsewhere. I doubt anything will happen. They are clearly going for the agencies that had been on the opposing political spectrum. |
Please. there is no political party that's not telling people what to do. It's like a pot being stirred by one hand but in different directions depending on which party is "in power". |
| If they kill NOAA, kiss GPS goodbye. |
Did you read the entirety of its supposedly thousand pages? Do you have a link to the specific chapter where this is stated? |
| Is it bad that I am fine with Florida paying for its own hurricanes? FAFA. |
