The Ice storm Cometh

What do we think, 2 hour delay tomorrow for APS?
Anonymous
Yes and then they'll cancel school before those two hours are up. I know it sounds crazy but it's happened before!
Anonymous
No, won’t impact us. Changing forecasts.
Anonymous
A think a delay is likely. The National weather service, TWC, and CWG all predict a decent possibility of ice in the morning.

That would be awesome, my HS DD has been home for 2 days supposedly doing asynchronous learning and I would love for her to be back at school.

FCPS is already delayed.

Which means Arlington will soon follow suite

Based on the forecasts I just looked at I'm thinking 2 hour delay.

Op here, they just announced it. Well, better than closure I guess.
Anonymous
LCPS delayed 2 hours. I’m guessing they’ll probably close.
Anonymous
Over under 2 hr delays becomes closure for APS?
Anonymous
Looks like rain. And it’s going to be in the 50s this afternoon. But yeah, 2 hour delay and then close.

It’s dodgier out there than it looks. My backyard tables in Arlington have ice, and my trees do too. I was actually surprised because when I looked out my window it just looked wet. This is one time that the two hour delay is the perfect call. Once the sun comes up, most of this should go away.

Roads are fine luckily. Already drove my private school kid to DC from Arlington. Bridge was fine too. A 2 degree temp change would have made for really bad conditions.
