| I work in a school district that is considering hiring Joshua Starr as its new superintendent. I know he was in MCPS for awhile - what were the overall feelings about him? |
| He was very abrasive with local elected officials and that's why he wasn't renewed. |
He kept a teacher who he knew was sexually abusing little girls in the classroom for years. Look up John Vigna. |
| We still curse him to this day! |
He is active on this site. |
And yet he was somehow still better than Smith/McKnight. |
| He had very little leadership on the goals set by the board. Board was frustrated that he wouldn’t really set academic goals or address testing differences amount student groups. Instead it seemed like he focused more on social emotional learning. Board eventually ended his contract. |
| I actually liked Starr. |
Ditto. I had no beef with him. |
| He was well liked by school staff, so far as I can remember. |
Nice guy, but ineffectual. The ultimate SJW. |
| Was curriculum 2.0 started to get pushed by Starr? I hate that curriculum in every aspect. |
No, Weast started 2.0 |
This site is heavily censored. Good luck. |
| I didn’t have a problem with him. |
