Seeking ideas or specific recommendations of what to do for 5 hours in Brooklyn on a Saturday afternoon this month.
Will be a group of older teens and adults. Not interested in shopping, museums or a walking tour. Activities are good- bowling, indoor archery(?), ax throwing, movies, etc. Weather may be iffy, so if outdoor suggestions, other options too? |
There are some indoor rock climbing gyms that could be fun. |
You guys might not be exactly the right audience for it, but the transit museum could be good for an hour or so. It's in an actual closed subway station in Brooklyn. It's a lot of old subway trains you can get on, so not exactly a typical museum. |
There are axe throwing places, mini golf and indoor climbing places in the Gowanus and red hook areas. There’s an Alamo drafthouse or BAM for movies and the Dekalb market food hall nearby for lots of interesting food. |
See if anything going on at Barclays. Socceroof has indoor soccer. There’s also Shipwrecked indoor mini golf.
If the weathers not too bad could check out Brooklyn Bridge park - lots of activities there. Also Time Out DUMBO market |
Take a cooking class. You can book one at a place like Hudson Table. |
Brooklyn Botanic Garden?

This is my favorite place in Brooklyn but it will not be at its best in February. |
