travel to canada

We originally plan to get passports for kids, and plan to do family vacation at canada this summer. I see there's a post related to mexico given the tariff, how about traveling to canada? Will there be any big effect for us tourists go to canada this summer? Given the lately tragic air flight accident at reagan and later Philadelphia, I already hesitate if I should postpone any air flight family travel plan this summer. With this added tariff between US and Canada, I hesitate for safety reason and also price hesitation.

Any thoughts?

Flying is still by far the safest mode of transport, don’t be silly.

The bigger issue is no longer the $800 personal exemption. I assume that’ll be much longer waits at customs points and obviously you’ll pay more for any goods you bring back.

CAN dropping so it's getting cheaper to go to CAN.

Canadian here. Hopefully border security is carefully checking every single person/bag. Be prepared for long waits.

Add Maple Leaf flags to your clothing and luggage and began adding “eh?” at the end of your sentences.

Americans are unwelcome here now.

You'll have to pay more for souvenirs like maple syrup. But otherwise I don't see how travel to Canada will change.

Worry that you may not even have the money to travel
