The Menu: Spoilers after first post.

I loved this film as did my 2 teens and my FIL and kids' uncle. It's crazy, unexpected and takes inspiration from many storylines -- in a great way! It kept me guessing all the way through.

That said, I need to discuss the ending.

SO SPOILERS next!

Really? About 30 ppl are about to die the worst way and they all just sit there?

I'd believe it if he poisoned them, slowly, along the way but no. He just convinced them? Maybe one or two people with "daddy" issues but not two rooms full.

I still loved it but why didn't they all MOVE?

This movie renewed my love for Ralph Fiennes.

Did you see conclave? Amazing.

There was a thread on this a while ago. I liked the movie - the ending was completely ridiculous. So much rings true of the high end food industry though.

Weren't they strapped to their seats or something? I saw it on a plane, so maybe I missed something but I thought they couldn't get away.

That would have been ore realistic in the movie's world. Or, if they were slowly paralyzed by a drug in the food. But I'm pretty sure they just had the marshmallow capes on them.

Yeah, old movie. Interesting distribution business now with resale to different streaming platform to create new viewers. Films that don’t initially make a lot can slowly keep bringing $ in.

I enjoyed the movie, but I can’t get over the fact that the writers and director had freaking Judith Light to work with, and they did next to nothing with her. Judith Light and Janet McTeer, and you barely give them any real screen time? Those are two powerhouse actresses.

Yeah I hated it. Didn't buy the premise. He wasn't that charismatic.
