National Park travel this summer…

With the Trump DOI cancelling all the seasonal hiring for National Parks, I think the parks are gojng to be an utter disaster. They are a major tourist draw for domestic and international travel … I think I’ll sadly give them a pass this summer and I wonder how many others will as well. I adore NPS rangers, who seem to me to do challenging and wildly interesting and important work for shockingly little pay …. Wishing them all my best in this challenging year and hope to see them in the future!
