| Which one did not? I am especially interested that make great roasts enough for 8 people. TIA |
| I posted below about how I just bought a new Cuisinart programmable slow cooker and it did not work properly because steam leaked from the lid and made a rattling noise. I'm going to try the All Clad cooker with the aluminum insert and hopefully that will work out better. |
| I actually purchased my CROCK POT from Costco. I LOVE it! It has a low and high setting. It was about 40 bucks I think. I have used it ALOT. I of course use it more in the winter than in the summer. |

I swore I'd never own one, but after just a few months back at work after DD's birth, I'm considering it, so I'm also interested in answers to OP's post.
and, what's the difference between a slow cooker and a crock pot? |
Same thing, Crock Pot is the trademarked name of slow cookers made by Rival. |

we have this one from Hamilton Beach and love it:
http://www.amazon.com/Hamilton-Beach-33967-6-Quart-Programmable/dp/B001AO2PXK/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=home-garden&qid=1284149158&sr=8-1 We used to have a 6 qt Cuisinart one and hated it. It got too hot and everything burned. I was almost happy when the pot cracked and had to be replaced. A replacement pot was going to cost more than a new Hamilton Beach--and they were back-ordered such that I couldn't get it in time for the holidays. Bah on Cuisinart. As for the steam: it isn't a pressure cooker, there should be *some* steam escaping. Our new one has a vent hole so that the lid doesn't rattle, but not too much steam gets out. I think I would have preferred a 4 qt, but I couldn't find one that was programmable, which is critical if you are gone from the house for more than 6 hrs while it is cooking. |
| OP here -- Thanks everyone. Just ordered Hamilton beach one. Very excited. |
