When are AAP packets submitted?

Is there a deadline when teachers have to submit HOPE?

Are they working on it now?

The central committee meets in March. The school usually submit the packets in mid of Feb. around President's Day. At least that was what happened last year.

You can request a copy of the packet after it is sent to the central committee. Last year in my DS's packet, I see HOPE score were filled out in Nov.

Does every child get a HOPE? Or only kids who are getting screened for AAP?

We didn’t refer until mid December. I assumed teachers would not do this HOPE until after winter break.

Only kids who are getting screened for AAP - in pool and parent referred.

To whom does one submit the request for the submitted packet? The school AART? I'm afraid they'll say no. Does that happen?

Our school just did the screening meetings this week. A team of teachers and admin reviewed each packet for parent and pool referred student, reviewed and selected work samples and completed the HOPE scale. Packets have not been submitted to the AAP office.

A parent can request a copy of the packet. But as another poster said, it will not be released until after it is submitted to the AAP office.
