dates for summer school classes in 2025

Do we have dates yet for summer school classes?
My son is thinking of PE. I was just wondering if he would have to do it while we're at a family reunion.

Supposedly registration opens 1/31. I would think they have to publish the info then as well.

I hope PE does open 1/31. My kid’s counselor has only told me “soon.”

The self paced personal finance class is already open with dates listed of Monday, June 23 - Friday, July 25, 2025. I’d guess summer PE will follow that schedule.

I'm looking for IFTA dates and I emailed the address on the FCPS page and no response. I have a rising 7th grader in the fall so no counselor yet. She is eligible for the IFTA today.

We did PE last year in the summer - it started about a week after the end of school and went until the third week of July. My son ended up missing two days due to travel plans, but he still did the assignments for those days and was able to complete the class. During vacation he did have to log on several days for about 45 minutes, but it was manageable.

Can my child still do the finance class if we are leaving for international vacation on July 10? I see it runs from June 23 - July 25…would he be able to realistically complete it before we leave?

Update on the dates for PE yet? Can somebody send the link?

To above poster, it sure if you will be back to see this, but hoping you might or they others will know. Trying to get feel for what days are for summer PE. Saw it’s 2 hours on zoom and there will be an in-person day for CPR- is that just 2 hours too? Believe it is Fitbit exercise with a heart rate above 100 or something like that for an hour a day. How long approx to do other assignments after zoom part? An hour? More? And are the assignments all the health part of PE- so SEL and learn name of bones/muscles/etc? Thanks,

It's not 2 hours. It's about an hour, there's a 2 hour window for the class.

the assignments are long and onerous. take it pass/fail.

this year they updated a bit. EITHER a fitness tracker for the heart rate bit OR using an app to document the time. 60 minutes of activity, in addition to the class time and homework.

by onerous they aren't particularly difficult. but in the past have included interviewing someone and all sorts of garbage.

What class requires interviewing someone?

Is there a link that tells that detail? On registration site did not see that had the either or choice, which would be great.
