Restaurant recommendation: DC or NOVA

Where can we go out for a really nice dinner with an exceptionally happy and quiet baby? It would be before 7 and not a Fri/Sat. She honestly never makes a scene, we just don't want to risk it with somewhere silent or tiny...or automatically get dirty looks the second we walk in the door Ideas? Thanks in advance!

does your baby eat real food yet?

Define "really nice"...are you looking for great food, or a fancy/expensive atmosphere?

Good questions! We would only need to bring a bottle to the restaurant (just introducing solids once a day right now), and we are more interested in good/interesting food than fanciness. But this may be our last chance to enjoy some atmosphere before she gets any bigger and/or needs to be in one place for bedtime!

If you get there early, Carlyle in Shirlington. They deal well with babies, and they get you out reasonably quickly without you feeling like you are at a second-rate place.

Cava on 8th St. SE in Capitol Hill. It's loud it there, so even if your kid has a few happy shrieks it's no big deal. They do small plates of Greek food - really good, plus fast service.

J Gilberts or Pulcinella McLean
Any of the Tysons restaurants (except for super fancy like Mortons)

Black Salt is very nice, and quite loud. They also have high chairs for the neighborhood kids. You don't have to eat at the nice restaurant part in the back, you can sit at a table near the bar. Same excellent food, more casual atmosphere. Plus it would be fun for baby to see all the fish.
