| Looking to make a move for next year, any feedback on the top Arlington boys team for 2013s. Seems to have had a lot of turnover in years past. |
|
Not sure if it is past turnover, or coaching changes, or the shift from 9v9 to 11v11 and personnell issues but for whatever reason, the ARL 2013B top team isn't as strong as some of the other top teams around that age cohort.
Older than them, the 2011B team was 10-1 in ECNL this past fall and the 2012B team was 9-1. And on the younger side, the pre-ECNL 2014B and 2015B teams look very good technically and athletic with a lot of future ARL stars. The 2013B group just seems off but i don't know why. Couild be there are just better 2013 teams in the area? The 2013 McClean group is among their best for that program. FWIW ARL parent here. |
| Arlington parents are at it again. Take a step back and re-read what you wrote in context of literally anyone else other than yourself |
| SYC 2013 is the team to beat. They are the best team on the DMV by far. |
| I know who the OP is.... |
SYC and Bethesda 2013 are about even. The best 2013 team in the DMV (this forum often ignores the M in DMV) is Coppermine by far. |
Yes, forgot about them. Pretty strong team as well. |
| Would you consider SYC one of the best clubs in the area overall? |
For boys yes |
| 100% |
mclean mom clutching her pearls!

| Curious what happens to the Mclean group with the merger coming into play for the u13 group next year. Looks like the big options without crossing a bridge or driving down 95 are SYC, Arlington or Alexandria. And maybe Mclean if the team stays together. Any clubs i am forgetting? |
By now Union should already a draft roster composed mostly from McLean u12 green. If you are a top player you may go SYC (or Alexandria) but don't see a reason to go to drive more and go to Arlington. |
