Metallica M72 tour: Northwest Stadium

Thinking of taking DD to this as a graduation present. Seems this tour started in 2023 and will go on until later this year.

Anybody have a first hand report? Is it worth it? I noticed there are still a lot of seats left. Thanks.

My DH went last summer at Giants stadium with our college kid and they reported it was a great show. Keep in mind though if there are multiple dates, they won’t do the whole catalog.

we went to Chicago, met another couple, and made a vacation out of it last summer

It was a good time. 2 different setlists over 2 nights at Soldier Field. I only really knew their songs from the 90s, so I was a LITTLE out of place butI was still able to enjoy.

Look, if you want to see Metallica, get the tickets. We're in the stage where we need to see bands before they start dying on us ;P

We thought the prices for the 2 night package were pretty reasonable considering.

OP here. Got tickets this week, pretty good seats. Told DD and she's excited. I'm glad I can share this experience with her.

Kewl! One of the last good mainstream metal bands. I know people hate on them for changing from their speed-metal roots, but their middle year albums were great.

People boo'd Bob Dylan for going electric in 65, but he always had a neat sound and set trends, and except for his early political protest songs, made some great music.
