Early march used to be the standard timeline for tryouts (after school and FCYBL seasons ended).
Orgs keep pushing up their tryout dates trying to lock in players. I saw a place having tryouts for spring in January! Absurd! |

+ most AAU players have their offers locked in for Spring. Same for Potomac Valley Thunder top teams. I am wondering if they'll have secondary teams. Or even the opportunity to get in the gym with the coaches. |

They had 2-3 open gyms last year. My DD attended one, but she didn't try out. |

I am PP and was mistaken. DD attended a HS tryout not open gyms. She is not sure they had open gyms last year. |
