Sherwood HS Curriculum for Agricultural Science Education magnet on chopping block

Anonymous
The countywide Curriculum for Agricultural Science Education (CASE) magnet program at Sherwood High School is on the verge of being cut. The program was opened to all MCPS 8th graders for lottery in the fall but was quietly removed from course registration. Sherwood is/was the only countywide option for agricultural science education, a great lead-in to UMD's College of Ag and Natural Resources. If you'd like to add your voice to those hoping to keep this program running inside its excellent greenhouse facility, please email: irina_lagrange@mcpsmd.org, genevieve_l_floyd@mcpsmd.org, timothy_d_britton@mcpsmd.org, eugenia_s_dawson@mcpsmd.org

Does this surprise you? The cut the MVA, a preschool program, an autism program (we need way more not less) and one of the two auto trade programs last year. Taylor should be ashamed of this.
