ISO of tropical spring break destination

I am looking for a destination for a group of teen girls and moms. We want warm weather and a direct flight from DCA. Any suggestions?

What do you consider tropical? Florida? Caribbean? Costa Rica? Hawaii?

Honestly, for spring break this year, unless you have a huge budget, it's gonna be tough.

Most are insanely expensive for spring break! Check out Belize. That was significantly less than the others and looked really cool.

Direct flight from DCA is going to be challenging. I'd look at countries in Central America - Panama, Nicaragua, Honduras, etc. Not as touristy as the Caribbean (or Costa Rica), but warm, has good food, nice beaches, etc. Panama has direct flights out of IAD.

None of these have nonstops from DCA.

DCA direct flights limit you to - Key West, Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, San Juan

There are a few other Florida cities, but I picked the warmer ones.

Yes, look at google flights for your direct flight options, but the farthest you can go on a direct flight is Puerto Rico or Nassau.

DCA is really limiting. Metro goes to IAD and MARC to BWI. Are either or both of those a possibility?

If your set on DCA I would say Miami. If you can add a stop or do BWI/IAD you have many more options. We've done a direct from BWI to Cancun then stayed at a resort in Tulum. We also have done direct out of BWI to San Juan. Both were great trips.

Op, you know that you can't go international from DCA, right? Bahamas and Puerto Rico are your options.

And Bermuda (BDA) but that's not that warm for Spring Break - low 70s.

Bermuda is international. But they have pre-clearance so its OK, similar to Canada flights.
